Prayer

You can't have a relationship with someone without communicating with them. That's why prayer is so important to Christains as it is how we communicate with God. Prayer is how we thank, ask for help and just enjoy being with him. Prayer doesn't just build our relationship with God, but it connects us to the those that we are praying for and those we are praying with.
At Horndean Baptist Church, we have several opportunities to help us build our relationship with God, with each other and with the world that God has made:

• Every Monday, there is a prayer meeting where we gather to ask God to help the world
• Every month, we gather with the other churches in the area at the Horndean and Clanfield Churches Together Prayer Breakfast to pray together
• Every two months, we have a prayer and sandwiches gathering where we share a small evening tea together and the spend time praying, sometimes in more creative ways
• Every year in the week leading up to Pentecost Sunday, a 24/7 prayer room is run by Horndean and Clanfield Churches Together. This is a space that people can access 24 hours a day for a week to go in and spend time praying. There are different ways to pray set up in the space.

We also ensure that we have time to pray during our Sunday services and at our Connect Group Meetings.
