Working with other Churches

03 Other Churches

Horndean Baptist Church loves working with other churches to help share God’s love with others. We believe that the different ways that the Church meets reflects the diversity and creativity of our Creator.

We are proud to be part of the Churches Together Group in the local area. We join together with All Saints, Catherington (Church of England); Holy Trinity, Blendworth (Church of England); Horndean Baptist Church; St. Edmunds (Roman Catholic Church); St Huberts, Idsworth (Church of England); St James, Clanfield (Church of England); and St. Michael and All Angels, Chalton (Church of England) to form Churches Together in Horndean and Clanfield.

Every year, we organise a service for Christian Unity and a walk of witness on Good Friday. We are also involved in the Horndean Remembrance Day service, as well as the Horndean Parish Council Christmas Carol Service. The Churches Together also host a 24/7 Prayer Room in the build up to Pentecost to pray for the local community and the world.

We are also part of a monthly, ecumenical (with other churches) gathering called High Tide for youth in the Portsmouth urban sprawl. High Tide meets at different churches from Portsmouth right up to Waterlooville. More information can be found on their Facebook page
