What is Christianity?

Christianity is the reason that our church gathers together on Sundays and throughout the week, as well as being the reason for all the various activities we do. But what is it? Christianity is the name given to the faith of those who try to follow the teachings of Jesus. Christians believe that Jesus was God Himself who came to Earth to live as a human being, roughly 2000 years ago. He did this to rescue all of creation from sin, through his death on the cross and his resurrection on the third day after he had died, whilst also teaching and showing humanity how to live.
