Children and Families Leader
Hannah Lowry has been a member of HBC since 2012. She has a passion for learning together as the family of God and supporting children as they explore their own faith. Often sporting her latest creation, Hannah is a keen sewer who is not far from her next project. She is unashamedly a fan of the geeky, including board games and all things Sci-Fi.
Adrian Rodgers runs a small business consultancy and describes himself as a renegade accountant. Nonetheless, Judith trusts him enough to let him assist her with the Treasurer’s role. Adrian has been a member and occasional leader at HBC since 1984.
Becky Goulty is a mum of two and part time Occupational Therapist. She has been at HBC since she was a child, has a passion for sung worship and regularly leads on a Sunday morning. In her spare time (!) she loves to visit places with the kids and has been known to try a bit of Karaoke. Becky helps to run the Crafty Cuppa Club and loves trying out different crafts each month.
Bob Finlay is married to Christine with two grown up children, Geoff and Daniella. He is Portsmouth born and bred and has attended HBC since 2004. Bob started his working career in Portsmouth Dockyard and ended it with IBM ten years ago. Bob is a keen golfer, but has been generally sports mad all his life. He admits that his journey with God has been one of continued learning and growing in knowledge and faith.
Judith Deeks married Fred in 2003 and came to live in Horndean. She was welcomed into the fellowship of HBC and has been on the Leadership team before. She is Treasurer, is a member of the WI and volunteers for Homestart Butser. Judith is a lady who lunches and will always say yes to coffee and a chat.
Liz Knell is a full time mum to two girls. She has been at HBC for a couple of years, since moving South from Birmingham to be nearer family. She has a background in Community Development and is currently helping to lead the Tuesday Toddlers group at Napier Hall.
Helen Worster moved to Horndean in 2000 from Shrivenham in Wiltshire with her family: John, Alice, Emily and Hannah. She joined Horndean Baptist Church in 2011. Helen describes herself as a home maker, card maker, blanket maker and coffee maker. Coming originally from Manchester, the kettle is always on! Helen’s life has recently become busier looking after her grandson Ike, walking her dog Oscar . . . and drumming with the Ready to Rock School!
