It’s going to look a little bit different, but we’re looking forward to being able to be back together again.
The groups will be meeting on a Wednesday morning at Napier Hall during term time, starting from Wednesday 12th May, and are aimed at children from 0-5 and their parents, grandparents or carers.
Due to Covid restrictions, we will be limited to 15 adults per session for the time being. Because of this, there will be two groups running; the first from 9.15 – 10.15 a.m. and then a second from 10.45 – 11.45 a.m.
You must pre-book your place at a session, and you can do this by following this link.
Pre-booking means we can control the numbers at each session, track and trace, and have a safe, friendly environment for you and our volunteers. Initially we ask, if possible, that just one adult from each household attends, so that we can welcome as many families as possible.
If you have any difficulty accessing the booking system, please do contact Liz on 07739 096251 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information about the groups – please read all this information carefully as a lot has changed since we were last able to be together.
We must ask that if you or anyone in your household has any Covid symptoms, including a high temperature, persistent new cough and/or loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste, you must refrain from attending the session.
On arrival: Please practice good social distancing etiquette if you need to queue to enter the building.
Adults and children must use hand sanitizer on arrival and periodically throughout the session. On entry into the hall, adults and those over 11 years old must wear a face covering (unless exempt on health grounds) and keep at least 1m away from other adults and from children who are not in their own household or bubble.
Please note: Government education guidelines now state that children under 5 do not have to socially distance from each other. However, they do need to try and distance themselves from adults that are not from their household or bubble.
Please be reminded that your children are your responsibility in the group and especially in these times we do ask that you are alert and keep a close eye on your children to help them as they play.
Cost: The groups cost £1.50 per family, which is payable online at the time of booking. If you need any support with this please contact Liz and she’ll be happy to help you.
Food and Drink: For now, we will not be serving snacks or refreshments, but we do invite families to bring their own drink and snack, and maybe a small blanket to sit on together, although chairs will be available too! Hot drinks for grown-ups in lidded cups are welcome. We will have a snack time when we sit down to enjoy the snack together and listen to a story.
Singing: We are allowed to have singing time. However, please note that Government guidelines state that only 6 adults in the session, together with the children, can join in with the singing.
Cleaning: The tables and chairs, toilets and touch points will be cleaned before and after each session. Each session will have its own set of toys that will have been in quarantine for at least 72 hours prior to the session. There will be wipes available throughout the hall which parents and carers are invited to use to help keep equipment clean and sanitized.
Toilets and baby change: The toilets will be available but we ask that only 1 family uses them at any one time.
Track and Trace: In order to support the NHS Test and Trace programme, we are taking contact details (name and telephone number) for all visitors, as well as recording times entering and leaving Todders. In line with guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care, we will keep your details safely and in compliance with GDPR legislation for 21 days before securely disposing of or deleting them. We will only share your details with NHS Test and Trace, if asked, in the event that it is needed to help stop the spread of coronavirus. We will not use your details for any other purposes or pass them on to anyone else.
Risk: You agree to attend the sessions at your own risk. Even though we are a Covid-19 secure venue, this does not guarantee that we are Covid-19 free.
Check list: Remember to bring the following with you each week:
A face covering for adults
Drink and snack (hot drinks in lidded cups are welcome)
Small blanket for snack time if wished.
