Dear Church family,
I am writing to you to let you know what the leadership team have decided in light of the government’s announcement yesterday evening. We have decided to cease hosting Sunday services at Napier Hall along with all physical meetings. This includes Toddlers, Crafty Cuppa and Connect Groups. We have also postponed my induction service until further notice.
However, this does not mean that there will be no services running. We are planning to work on producing virtual services that we will send out links to via email.
Likewise I will send out guidance to various connect group leaders for them to use regarding creating an online space (Skype, Google hangouts, among others) for the connect group to happen. I plan on ringing those members of our community who do not have an email to make them aware of this new situation. We will be reviewing this situation whenever new advice comes forward from the government.
Alongside this the pastoral team will also be getting in touch on a regular basis to check how everyone is doing. Please do let us know if you need anything and we will do what we can to help. Similarly, if there is anyone, whether they are a member of the church or a friend, that you are aware of that might be in need again please let me or a member of the pastoral team know and we will do what we can to follow up this concern.
In the midst of this I ask you to keep praying for yourselves, HBC, our community and the world. This is a trying time, but God is greater than anything this world can throw at us. I pray that we all may know his peace that passes all understanding.
Your brother in Christ,
Sam Ackerman on behalf of the Leadership Team
